AGRICULTURE: House Dems boost female presence on House Ag Committee

Nearly half of the Democrats on the House Agriculture Committee in this Congress are women, a likely record for this traditionally male-dominated panel. Ranking member Collin Peterson (D-Minn.) announced the lineup late yesterday, with nine women out of 19 members named to the committee.
