Clerk of Circuit Court Jed Pittman's decision to invest $100-million in mutual funds may yet show him to be wise in the ways of money management. But he could use an elementary course in political relationships and how they can be destructive to the public trust. About the same time Pittman was deciding to invest $75-million of that money in a package suggested by Michael Fasano of Dean Witter Reynolds in Port Richey, the two men were embracing politically.
