Calif. PUC fines SoCalEd $16.7M for ex parte rule violations in SONGS cost case

The California Public Utilities Commission on Dec. 3 decided to penalize Southern California Edison Co. $16.7 million for misleading the PUC and failing to timely report ex parte communications concerning the utility's efforts to recover costs due to the permanent closing of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, or SONGS.
