Kern Wildenthal knows all about Perot’s insistence on excellence.

Perot made his first gift of $200,000 to UT Southwestern Medical Center in 1983 to support a diabetes research project as a friendly gesture to the late Ralph Rogers, who had been chairman of Parkland Hospital.
