Gov. David Ige, D-Hawaii, issued the following news release on Oct. 2
Gov. David Ige announced today that he has appointed Edmund ("Fred") Hyun to serve as the temporary acting director overseeing the state Department of Public Safety, effective October 1 through November 30. The appointment of an interim director is still to be determined. PSD Director Nolan Espinda announced his retirement in early September, effective at the close of business Sept. 30.
