Johnson Electric adds component manufacturer Stackpole in $659M deal

Hong Kong-based component manufacturer Johnson Electric Holdings Ltd. said late Monday it would acquire Canadian autoparts maker Stackpole International Holding LP in a deal valued at C$867 million ($659 million).

Ancaster, Ontario-based Stackpole is a century-old supplier of engineered transmission and oil pumps as well as powder metal components for automotive powertrains. The company is owned by Crestview Partners, Citic Capital Partners and members of management.
