McDonald's director retires
A longtime member of McDonald's board of directors retired Monday due to "health reasons," McDonald's said Thursday.
Roger Stone, 80, had been on McDonald's board since 1989. Stone is also the chairman and chief executive of Northbrook-based Kapstone Paper and Packaging.
Kapstone said in a filing with federal regulators that Stone is taking a leave of absence from the company and it appointed Chief Operating Officer Matthew Kaplan, 58, as interim chairman and CEO.
