Milwaukee Symphony goes unplugged at basilica

Nov 10, 2019 - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (Wisconsin)

Sometimes a change of venue a good thing.

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra played at the Basilica of St. Josaphat Friday evening, filling the ornate space with sonic art while offering their audience some visual art, iconography and architecture to contemplate as well.

The concert, led by guest conductor Lee Mills and featuring soprano Julia Bullock, was a lovely collection of infrequently heard works for smallish ensembles, all of which were written by well-known composers.
