Musselman is fired by Minnesota

On Feb. 26, Bill Musselman coached the Minnesota Timberwolves to their fifth straight victory over the Dallas Mavericks. He also coached himself out of a job. Musselman was fired Monday, not because he didn't win enough but because of philosophical differences with management and because he couldn't communicate with players. The Timberwolves' two-year record was 51-113, the best of the NBA's four most recent expansion clubs.
