Deutsche Telekom AG wants to renegotiate the terms for the sale of Sprint Corp. to its U.S. wireless unit T-Mobile US Inc., according to people familiar with the matter.

The German carrier, the majority owner of T-Mobile, is seeking a lower price because Sprint’s shares have slid since the deal was proposed in 2018, said the people, who asked not to be identified as the deliberations are private.
