PepsiCo, United Way team up to help kids

PepsiCo, its Plano-based Frito-Lay subsidiary and the PepsiCo Foundation are collaborating with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas to launch an initiative focused on early childhood development, nutrition and college readiness in South Dallas.

Called Southern Dallas Thrives, the effort will be funded in part with a $600,000 PepsiCo Foundation grant over three years to improve education in three to five day care centers in partnership with ChildCareGroup.
