Ruling: State can reimburse private schools
A divided Michigan Supreme Court ruled Monday the state may reimburse private schools for the cost of complying with state-mandated tasks, like employee background checks and immunizations.
In a rare move, the high court ruled 3-3 on the case. The split ruling results in a ruling from the state Court of Appeals being "affirmed by equal division."
