The University of Louisville's backup plan to expand U of L Hospital has a huge price tag - even bigger than the price tag for the Omni Louisville Hotel.
A review of records obtained through the Kentucky Open Records Act show that the school put together renderings, floor plans, a construction timeline and a cash flow schedule in June that, in the fullest and most expensive terms, called for spending up to $379 million to expand the hospital. The price tag for the Omni was $315 million.
