Vodafone taps up former EE chief Swantee
VODAFONE has hired the former boss of its biggest UK competitor to join its board.
Olaf Swantee was chief executive at EE, having risen through the ranks at Orange and merged it with T-Mobile to create EE.
He stepped down when BT bought EE and Mark Allera took over what was the UK's biggest mobile player.
Swantee had been tipped as a possible successor to BT chief executive Gavin Patterson before Philip Janssen got the job in 2019.
