Oxford Financial Group constructs broadly diversified investment portfolios incorporating a wide range of asset classes and investment styles. Asset allocation advice is based on studies of long-term asset class performance and an assessment of the current investment environment, customized to the client's specific objectives, risk tolerance and constraints. Third-party investment managers (separate accounts, mutual funds, limited partnerships, etc.) are selected to fulfill the asset allocation strategy. This selection is based on quantitative and qualitative judgments as they relate to the manager's organizational stability, quality of personnel, investment strategy, historical performance and other factors. Investment portfolios generally include multiple asset classes and investment strategies that do not correlate perfectly with one another. Oxford recommends private equity investments, hedge funds, real estate and other non-traditional opportunities such as oil and gas, partnerships, managed futures, commodities and natural resources.
