The Texas Access to Justice Foundation (TAJF) is a nonprofit corporation organized as a funding source for legal services to indigent Texans in civil matters. The funding is primarily generated by interest earned on lawyers' trust accounts (IOLTA), contributions and attorney's volunteering contributions in the State Bar of Texas dues statements. As of July 1, 1989, Texas attorneys are ordered to participate in the Texas IOLTA Program if they maintain nominal and/or short-term in trust for
