Education
Degree

University of Central Arkansas in Conway has some of Arkansas and even the nation's most innovative programs. One of its most innovative offerings is the Residential Colleges program. Students in the Residential Colleges program dont only live in dorms together. They also take all of their classes together and engage in common social and extracurricular activities. Residential Colleges are divided up according to a focus, or discipline. For example, one residential college is focused on living globally, another is dedicated to the arts and yet another revolves completely around the study of science, technology, engineering and math. Residential Colleges are optional. Students who wish to study in a more traditional format may do so as well and have over 75 undergraduate and 40 graduate degrees from which to choose. UCA is also innovative in its academic programs. UCA is, for example, the only school in the state to offer Occupational Therapy and programs such as Digital Filmmaking, Addiction Studies and African-American Studies. UCA has numerous other programs as well including the largest Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology and Dietetics programs in the state of Arkansas. Other degrees may be chosen from such fields as in business, education, fine arts, health and behavioral science and liberal arts. Student services are available, and numerous financial aid offerings may be discussed with a financial aid counselor.

Valeo Capital focuses on investments in middle-market, basic industry and technology companies that have been underleveraged because of capital constraints and lack of managerial talent. The firm invests in cash flow positive, quickly-growing businesses with products or services that have not received prior investor capital. They target companies with revenues less than $15 million and EBITDA up to $15 million. Companies should have a history of consistent revenue growth of more than 15% per year with a strong recurring revenue component. No one customer should account for more than 20% of total revenue.Valeo Capital makes growth equity investments of $2 million to $5 million, with the goal of investing at least $10 million per company over time. The firm participates in MBOS of $2 million to $50 million, depending on the nature of the business, the size of the company and the structure of the transaction. Valeo Capital may make larger investments as appropriate.
