YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) connects people with successful young chief executives in a global network unlike any other. Founded in 1950 in New York City by a young president named Ray Hickok, the organization unites approximately 20,000 business leaders in more than 120 countries around a shared mission: Better Leaders Through Education and Idea Exchange. A great deal has changed since YPO’s founding but certain things have remained the same: the value of a peer network and trusted mentors, the importance of ongoing education, and the need for a “safe haven” where issues can be aired in an environment of confidentiality. Over the past six decades, YPO has maintained its core commitment to these ideals while embracing change with each successive generation of young business leaders.

CollegeSpring (formerly SEE College Prep) helps students from low-income backgrounds boost their SAT scores, tackle the college admissions and financial aid processes, and confidently pursue college degrees. For many students, taking the SAT is the first big step on the path from “college-ready” to “college-bound.”Yet across the board, students from low-income backgrounds score an average of 189 points lower on the SAT than all other students, and 359 points lower than their highest-income peers.CollegeSpring offers the only SAT test preparation program specifically tailored to the needs of students from low-income backgrounds and students who will be the first in their families to go to college.CollegeSpring students receive 40 hours of SAT test preparation, take 4 full-length diagnostic SAT exams, and receive score reports to identify areas for improvement. We make sure that students solidify the academic knowledge and test-taking skills they need to succeed on the SAT and beyond. We also help students understand their college options and decide where to apply. We dedicate 20 hours of our program to providing information and support around college choices, financial aid, personal statements, college applications, and more.Programs are led by people our students trust and want to learn from: teachers who know their communities and school cultures and college students who serve as near-peer mentors and college role models.Since 2008, CollegeSpring has helped more than 5,000 students in the Bay Area and Los Angeles improve their SAT scores an average of 183 points and pursue college degrees.
