Formed in April 2011, House Majority PAC’s goal was to answer the barrage of GOP outside spending and ensure that never again would groups funded by Karl Rove, the Koch Brothers, Sheldon Adelson and the like be able to drown out Democratic candidates.Shortly after its formation, House Majority PAC helped make support for the Ryan budget a central issue in a special election in a Republican district in upstate New York, ensuring a Democratic upset. Then House Majority PAC swung into action in southern Arizona, helping keep Gabby Giffords’ former Congressional district in Democratic hands. House Majority PAC is committed to building a long-term organization that will continue to take on Republican outside groups in the fight for the House majority.
