Biography

?Candice Choh is a partner in the Century City office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where she currently practices in the firm’s Corporate Transactions Practice Group.

?Ms. Choh has a broad-based corporate practice encompassing mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and private equity. She has represented both public and private companies as well as private equity funds in domestic and international business combination transactions across a wide variety of industries. Ms. Choh has also represented private equity funds in fund formation transactions and both issuers and underwriters in several debt and equity offerings.

Recent representative matters include:

* Representation of Yukos International UK BV in its sale of Transpetrol to the Government of the Slovak Republic
* Representation of Aurora Capital Group in the formation of Aurora Equity Partners IV
* Representation of Ducommun Incorporated in its acquisition of LaBarge Inc.
* Representation of Aurora Capital Group in the restructuring of its Aurora Resurgence platform through the sale of its Aurora Resurgence Fund I portfolio to Aurora Resurgence Fund II and the formation of Aurora Resurgence Fund II
* Representation of Aurora Capital Group in the sale of Mitchell International to KKR
* Representation of Bally Technologies, Inc. in its acquisition of SHFL entertainment, Inc.
* Representation of Aurora Capital Group in the sale of Porex Corporation to Filtration Group
* Representation of Eros International Plc, the first Indian film company to list on the New York Stock Exchange, in its initial public offering
* Representation of Leslie’s Poolmart in its acquisition of Pool Supply World
* Representation of a privately held health products company in its exchange of outstanding 144A debt securities for equity securities
* Representation of Eros International Plc in a follow-on equity offering
* Representation of Leonard Green & Partners and Aurora Capital Group in numerous fund formation matters and general corporate matters

Ms. Choh graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997 receiving a B.A. in International Relations. She earned her law degree from the University of Southern California Law School in 2002 where she was a senior editor on the Southern California Law Review and elected to the Order of the Coif. Ms. Choh was also previously appointed by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to serve on the Los Angeles Convention Center Authority and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Business and Corporations Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Ms. Choh is a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee, Professional Development Committee and Associate Compensation Committee.

Ms. Choh is admitted to practice in the State of California.

Established in 1927, the Southern California Law Review is an independent and autonomous entity. Matters of policy, procedure and content are determined solely by the Editorial Board. All decisionmaking authority is delegated by the Dean of the law school to the Editor-in-Chief. The EIC, in turn, delegates various responsibilities to the Editorial Board and the Staff. Each year the Law Review publishes one volume, which is produced in six separate issues. Each issue normally contains several articles written by outside contributors and several notes written by Southern California Law Review staff members. The Law Review strives to publish articles on a wide range of topics and to serve all segments of the legal community. In addition, the Law Review frequently hosts a symposium in order to explore timely or controversial areas of law.
