Carey is chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs Bank USA and deputy treasurer of GoldmanSachs. She chairs the Goldman Sachs BankUSA Management Committee and serves onseveral other committees, including theFirmwide Asset Liability Committee andFirmwide Enterprise Risk Committee. Previously, Carey was chief financialofficer of Goldman Sachs Bank USA andalso had oversight of the Bank Managementteam. Prior to that, she was head of theAmericas Financial Institutions team inCredit Risk. Carey joined Goldman Sachs in1999 as a summer associate in Credit Risk inNew York and rejoined the firm in 2000 inthe same group. She was named managingdirector in 2009 and partner in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, Carey was avolunteer in the US Peace Corps inGuatemala, providing micro-credit assistanceto local women. Carey serves as a member of the Board ofTrustees of Whittier College.Carey earned a BA in Business in 1995from Whittier College and an MBA fromColumbia Business School in 2000.
