The Dallas Bar Association or DBA is a professional organization providing resources for attorneys and the public in the city of Dallas, Texas. Founded in 1873, the DBA is a voluntary professional association of 10,000+ lawyers. It is dedicated to the continuing education of its members, as well as community programs. For years, the Dallas Bar Association headquarters were housed in the offices of the then-current president. In 1937, headquarters were established in a small space under the stairs of the Old Red Courthouse. Ten years later, the DBA was the state’s first bar association to incorporate. Incorporators envisioned the Association someday being housed in its own building.

Blue Wolf Capital Management makes control investments of $10 million and up in middle-market companies. They look for investment opportunities in attractive companies whose value is hindered by: (1) reliance on government policy or subsidy (2) poor labor relations and/or (3) financial distress along with management or governance dysfunction. Blue Wolf looks for companies with $25 million in revenues and transaction sizes of $20 million. The firm does not invest in start-ups or re-starts of closed businesses. They may structure investments as debt of hybrid debt/equity instruments if doing so is part of a strategy to give them control. This is particularly true in the case of bankruptcies, where they may provide debtor-in-possession financing in conjunction with a plan to take control post-bankruptcy. The firm focuses their efforts on companies based in, and doing the bulk of their business in, the US and Canada.Blue Wolf invests in wide range of businesses, including but not limited to, service and applied engineering companies, capital equipment manufacturers, general manufacturing, financial services and broadcast media.
