Mr. Gartin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut School of Business Administration in 1977. He graduated with honors, was a University Scholar and was the highest ranking accounting graduate that year. Following his graduation from UConn, Clint joined Arthur Young & Company in Hartford, Connecticut where he worked for two years as a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Gartin entered Harvard Business School in 1979 and received a Masters in Business Administration in 1981. After receiving his degree from Harvard, Clint joined Morgan Stanley, an investment banking firm in New York City. He became a Managing Director of the Firm in 1992.

During the last eighteen years, Clint has served in a variety of capacities with Morgan Stanley. In addition to his investment banking activities, he has been a member of the Firm's promotion and compensation committees, has served as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Investment Banking Division and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Firm's Venture Capital Fund. Clint is currently the head of Morgan Stanley's Worldwide Healthcare Group. In this capacity, he has responsibility for the Firm's investment banking business in the pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology and pharmaceutical outsourcing industries. He has been involved in some of the most prominent transactions in the healthcare sector including the acquisition of Medco by Merck, the sale of American Cyanamid to American Home Products, the merger of Pharmacia and Upjohn, the merger of Sandoz and Ciba-Giegy, the merger of Cardinal Health and Allegiance arid the divestiture of Pfizer's medical technology businesses. He has also been involved in numerous debt and equity financings for companies which include Merck, Johnson and Johnson, DePuy, American Home Products, Bausch and Lomb and Chiron among others.

Clint has remained close to the University of Connecticut where he serves on the School of Business Board of Overseers. He lives in Darien, Connecticut with his wife Karen and their four children.
