Experience

Conrado, managing partner, U.S., and co-head, Latin America practice, has 20 years of experience in cross-border corporate finance transactions in the banking and capital markets areas. Conrado has advised issuers and underwriters on securities placements in the U.S. and in the Euromarkets by sovereigns, banks and companies and borrowers, lenders and agents in bilateral, syndicated and structured banking facilities. He has also been involved in numerous debt restructurings and liability management exercises. Conrado is based in Linklaters' New York office and previously worked in London and Madrid.

Recent transactions include advising:

* GNL Quintero on the issue of US$1.1bn senior notes, the third largest bond issue by a private sector company in Chile
* Masisa on the issue of US$300m senior notes due 2019
* Corporación Andina de Fomento in a US$237.5m A/B loan to Pan American Energy, Argentine branch
* Peru's Banco Interamericano de Finanzas - BanBif, as borrower, in a US$100m syndicated credit facility
* Falabella on a US$500m and Ch$94,589m notes issue (the first global Chilean peso corporate bond ever issued)
* Marfrig Alimentos on a R$924m public offering of common shares
* Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited on its acquisition of 80% of Standard Bank Argentina
* the dealer managers on a global US$18.3bn SEC-registered exchange offer by the Republic of Argentina

Conrado is qualified in both New York and England and Chambers ranks him as a “leading individual” in Capital Markets in Latin America in its 2015 edition, as well as among UK/U.S.-qualified attorneys in Spain and as a “foreign expert" in Banking & Finance in the U.S., Spain and Argentina. Conrado is ranked as a "leading individual" in Chambers USA 2014 and has been recognized by Legal 500 U.S. 2014.
