Delta State University (DSU) combines tradition with innovation in its academic offerings. Located in Bolivar, Mississippi, DSU’s undergraduate curriculum encompasses a range of disciplines including the arts, humanities and sciences. DSU’s graduate school grants nine master’s degrees and one doctoral degree in such fields as education, business, accounting and nursing. DSU also provides a number of unique programs of study, some of which are not found anywhere else. The Delta Music Institute and the Commercial Aviation and Geospatial Technology departments are examples of how DSU has included unique territories of study. A golf course, a performing arts center, over 25 intramural sports, a number of student organizations and a vibrant residence life make campus life at DSU an enjoyable and enriching experience for all students. Student services are also comprehensive. Career services, for example, offer online and in-person resume consultations, mock interviews, career coaching, access to career fairs and a career ambassadors program. DSU’s financial assistance office guides students in applying for aid and disbursing packages which include Pell Grants, student loans, federal work-study and state scholarships for those who qualify.
