Biography

Drew joined Ambient Clinical Analytics in May 2014 as its Chief Technology Officer after a long and varied career as an executive at IBM. Drew’s experiences include computer hardware and software development, product management, product marketing, and large-scale program management. He has formed and managed large international development organizations, as well as small tiger teams of highly skilled technologists. His most recent experiences included successfully managing a series of new “startup” businesses within IBM in High Performance Computing, stream analytics, and most recently Cloud Computing. Drew also formed and ran a 10 year collaboration between IBM and Mayo Clinic in applying information technology to provide the basis for Individualized Medicine.

Drew is on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Minnesota’s College of Science and Engineering, and is on the University of Minnesota Rochester Biomedical Informatics and Computational Biology program advising faculty and Scientific Advisory Board.

He holds a BSEE degree from North Dakota State University and an MS in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota.
