Applico was founded in May 2009 with a vision, commitment to values, and hard work. Alex Moazed started Applico during his junior year at Babson College when he used his personal credit card to fund the creation of the NYC Transit Blackberry application. It became a bestselling travel app and, by year end, Applico was providing development consulting services for companies like NBC and Verizon. Applico quickly realized the client need for product and design services. In tandem with the addition of these new teams, the company changed its business model from fixed fee projects to an hourly, time and materials basis.
