Biography

Breck is a Senior Vice President in the Walnut Creek office of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank. Prior to joining the firm in 1997, Breck was with CB Richard Ellis for 11 years in their Walnut Creek office. His business focus is a comprehensive, project specific acquisition-leasing-disposition program for office buildings and full service tenant representation both locally and in multi-market acquisitions/dispositions.

During his 25 year career in the commercial real estate industry, Breck has developed a reputation as a dedicated, tenacious individual committed to the realization of his clients' goals. In doing this he has reached many of his own. Breck has negotiated over 1,300 sale/lease/sublease transactions totaling more than 12.5 million square feet valued at more than $1.5 billion.

During his tenure at CB Richard Ellis, he was Rookie of the Year and a consistent office Top 5 and region Top 20 producer. His top production has continued at the firm where he has been the #1 producer in the Walnut Creek office for 11 years and #10, #8, #9 and #7 companywide in 2001, 2002, 2006 and 2009 respectively. In addition, Breck was awarded the Russ Thompson Memorial Award in 1999 (this award is given to one individual annually, companywide, based entirely upon personal integrity, peer respect and team work) and the Worn Shoe Award in 2008 (most deals completed companywide).

Breck's detail oriented approach has earned him consistent repeat tenant representation assignments from some of corporate America's most respected names including Wells Fargo Bank, Pac 10 Conference, Kaiser, General Electric, Regents of the University of California, Bank of America and Massachusetts Mutual. His creative and long term perspective has created a respected list of owners with which he has handled all aspects of asset management including acquisition, leasing and disposition. This ownership list includes: RREEF, Lincoln Property Company, Pacific Coast Capital Partners, Archon Group/Goldman Sachs, CUNA Mutual Life Insurance Company and Insurance Company of the West. Current major office project assignments are being handled for Transwestern, Heitman Capital Management, MetLife, Griffin Capital, American Realty Advisors and Sun Life of Canada.

Breck attended college at UCLA and graduated from UC Berkeley.

Living along the I-680 corridor his entire life, Breck currently resides in Alamo with his wife and two daughters.
