Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College (most often referred to as Louisiana State University or LSU) is a public coeducational university located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.[7] The University was founded in 1853 in what is now known as Pineville, Louisiana, under the name Louisiana State Seminary of Learning & Military Academy. The current LSU main campus was dedicated in 1926, and consists of more than 250 buildings constructed in the style of Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, and occupies a 650-acre (2.6 km²) plateau on the banks of the Mississippi River.

UIC is a major research university offering the cultural, business and entertainment opportunities you can only find in a world-class city. As one of the top 200 research-funded institutions in the world, UIC faculty discover the things that others teach. Choose from 15 academic colleges including the UIC College of Medicine-the largest in the nation-which educates one in six Illinois physicians. With nearly 2,574 instructional faculty members, there is one faculty member to every 11 students, which allows for a more personal learning experience. What's more, 75 percent of tenured faculty members teach undergraduate courses and 83 percent of full-time instructional faculty have earned a PhD or equivalent. But it's not all work and no play at UIC... Our 16,911 undergrads and 10,669 graduate and professional students make up one of the most diverse student bodies in the United States. Whether living in residence halls, near campus or commuting, you'll find there's always something interesting going on, from social events, clubs, sororities and fraternities, to two state-of-the-art fitness centers, and more-not to mention everything Chicago has to offer just minutes away. And at UIC, we take our sports seriously. The UIC Flames compete in 18 NCAA Division 1 sports and have won a total of 38 conference championships. There's a wide range of intramural teams and sports clubs for students to join.

Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering

Many students are attracted to University of Illinois at Springfield because it combines large university offerings with a small college environment. Academics at UI Springfield include more than 20 bachelor's degree offerings and more than 20 graduate programs. Health, Business, Liberal Arts And Sciences, Education, Human Services, Public Affairs and Administration are some of the diverse subject areas available. Students at UI also participate in collaborative research with faculty at one of UI's research centers. Student life is also vibrant, particularly with the arts. A student theatre, musical ensembles and concerts, a student art gallery and a student-operated radio station are just some examples of UI's arts offerings. While UI has rich and eclectic offerings, with fewer than 5,000 students the campus remains small and offers students maximum opportunities for faculty and fellow student interactions. Financial aid is available to those who qualify, as are graduate assistantships and fellowships. As it is part of the University of Illinois system, admissions are fairly competitive and comparable to those at U of I's main campus.
