Tilburg University’s goal is to actively contribute to society. We want to serve society and make it a better place for all citizens. Our university has always actively promoted ways to firmly embed our education and research in society. Our mission of Understanding Society is based on the Christian and humanist traditions in which we have our roots. Important basic principles are sustainability and diversity in the context of corporate social responsibility. We are committed to a society based on these values to which we give shape jointly with citizens and social organizations, government and business. Quality comes first. In all our choices, quality comes before quantity. Whether it is research, education, or valorization, it is our ambition to meet the highest international standards in everything. All research is therefore periodically reviewed by (inter)national committees consisting of renowned scholars. Such an external review is conducted every six years. In addition, internal mid-term reviews take place three years later, also in a six-year cycle. The NVAO (Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders) has awarded Tilburg University the Institutional Quality Assurance Label. This label “expresses that the internal quality care and the efforts of an institution for higher education to improve its performance in relation to the quality of its programs has been positively assessed by the accreditation organization”. Tilburg University is home to a vibrant and stimulating quality culture and has a relevant and widely supported vision on educational quality. The NVAO panel expressed its appreciation for the consistency of Tilburg University’s quality policy, for example, in the development of research-based learning at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management.

Barry University is a private, Catholic university that was founded in 1940 in Miami Shores, Florida, United States, a suburb north of Downtown Miami. It is one of the largest Catholic universities in the Southeast. Barry offers business, nursing, health sciences, teacher education, and liberal arts programs. It currently has more than 4,000 students, a campus of 54 buildings, and 40,000 alumni.

Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana, is the flagship university of the six-campus Purdue University system. Purdue was founded on May 6, 1869, as a land-grant university when the Indiana General Assembly, taking advantage of the Morrill Act, accepted a donation of land and money from Lafayette businessman John Purdue to establish a college of science, technology, and agriculture in his name. The first classes were held on September 16, 1874, with six instructors and 39 students. The university was founded with the gift of $150,000 from John Purdue, a Lafayette business leader and philanthropist, along with $50,000 from Tippecanoe County, and 150 acres (0.6 km²) of land from Lafayette residents in support of the project. In 1869, it was decided that the new school would be built near the city of Lafayette and established as Purdue University, in the name of the institution’s principal benefactor. The West Lafayette campus offers more than 200 majors for undergraduates, over 70 master’s and doctoral programs, and professional degrees in pharmacy and veterinary medicine. In addition, Purdue has 18 intercollegiate sports teams and more than 850 student organizations. Today, Purdue is a member of the Big Ten Conference. Purdue enrolls the second largest student body of any university in Indiana as well as the fourth largest international student population of any university in the United States.

The University of Miami is a private research university in Coral Gables, Florida. As of 2019, the university enrolls 17,811 students in 12 separate colleges/schools, including the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine in Miami's Health District, a law school on the main campus, and the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science focused on the study of oceanography and atmospheric sciences on Virginia Key, with research facilities at the Richmond Facility in southern Miami-Dade County. The university offers 132 undergraduate, 148 master's, and 67 doctoral degree programs, of which 63 are research/scholarship and four professional areas of study. Over the years, the university's students have represented all 50 states and close to 150 foreign countries. With more than 16,000 full- and part-time faculty and staff, UM is a top 10 employer in Miami-Dade County. UM's main campus in Coral Gables has 239 acres and over 5.7 million square feet of buildings. Research is a component of each academic division, with UM attracting $358.9 million in sponsored research grants in FY 2019. UM offers a large library system with over 3.9 million volumes and exceptional holdings in Cuban heritage and music. UM also offers a wide range of student activities, including fraternities and sororities, a student newspaper and a radio station. UM's intercollegiate athletic teams, collectively known as the Miami Hurricanes, compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. UM's football team has won five national championships since 1983 and its baseball team has won four national championships since 1982.

The Budapest University of Technology and Economics is the most significant University of Technology in Hungary and is considered the world's oldest Institute of Technology which has university rank and structure. It was the first institute in Europe to train engineers at university level.It was founded in 1782. More than 110 departments and institutes operate within the structure of eight faculties. About 1100 lecturers, 400 researchers and other degree holders and numerous invited lecturers and practising expert specialists participate in education and research at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
