Biography

Karen has over 12 years of experience in the technology services industry and is passionate about leveraging technology for social entrepreneurship and international development. Karen joined salesforce.com, a global cloud computing company that provides a platform and applications for businesses, in its early years and has been instrumental in building much of its professional services business. She is currently the founding leader and Director of Certification, which has served over 52,000 technology credentials to practicing Salesforce technologists. Prior to certification, she grew the high-touch, premier support business at salesforce.com from early stage to mature organization. Karen previously co-founded and served on the board of Spark, a non-profit organization that engages millennial philanthropists to invest in grassroots women’s organizations. During her time with Spark, Karen assisted in identifying and directing funds to over 20 organizations worldwide, helped to secure the 2010 Outstanding Foundation Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and participated in international delegations to Jordan, Tanzania, and Vietnam. Karen received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and has lived and worked abroad Ireland and Northern Ireland.
