Biography

Keith Simon is a partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins. Mr. Simon is a member of the firm's Finance Department and Restructuring, Insolvency & Workouts Practice. Mr. Simon currently serves on the firm's Bankruptcy Advisory Committee. Mr. Simon has extensive experience in a variety of insolvency matters on behalf of secured lenders, debtors and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court workouts.

Debtor representations on which Mr. Simon has worked include Tuscany International Drilling Inc., Wastequip Inc., OnCure Medical Corp., Arrow Group Industries Inc., RHI Entertainment Inc., National Envelope Corp., Bally Total Fitness, Dayton Superior Corp., National Steel Corp., Service Merchandise Company, Inc., Polaroid Corp. and Orius Corp.

Mr. Simon has represented creditors (most frequently administrative agents and secured lenders) in numerous bankruptcy cases, including White Birch Paper Company, Extended Stay Hotels, Merisant Worldwide, Greatwide Logistics, TECO Energy, Atlantis Plastics, Dura Corp., New World Pasta, American Remanufacturers Inc., Meyer’s Bakeries, Inc., EaglePicher Inc., Mesaba Airlines, Gemini Air Cargo and DMX Music.

Mr. Simon also has extensive out of court workout experience representing secured lenders in comprehensive restructuring transactions and Article 9 foreclosures.
