Biography

Laura W. Rehrmann
President, Group Health Foundation

Laura Rehrmann has been with Group Health since 1997, when she joined as vice president of development at the Foundation, Group Health's philanthropic arm. She completed the leadership phase of the Foundation's first endowment campaign, which raised $8.7 million. She became CEO and president in 2000. In 2003, Rehrmann also became Group Health's vice president for community responsibility.

Laura has a bachelor's degree in literature from the University of San Francisco and an master's degree in nonprofit leadership from Seattle University. She is a fellow of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and a certified fundraising executive.

Previously Laura was executive director of the Seattle Central Community College Foundation and a development director for Catholic Community Services of King County and for the University of Washington Meany Hall for the Performing Arts.

Entrepreneurial by nature, Laura has founded two companies: an award-winning specialty publication company and a direct-mail company.

Rehrmann is married to Jim Rehrmann. Her three children, now adults, were born at Group Health in Seattle. She enjoys cooking, outdoor activities, theater, movies, and music.
