Biography

Dr. Maximilian Menges is an associate in the Hamburg office. He practices in the firm’s Corporate Department, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets and general corporate law. Mr. Menges joined Latham & Watkins as an associate in 2014 after completion of his Master’s Degree at the University of San Diego. He started with the firm in the San Diego office before transferring to Hamburg.

Besides San Diego, Dr. Menges studied law in Münster where he also earned a doctor’s degree and for which he was awarded a scholarship by the Deutsche Notarrechtliche Vereinigung e.V. Dr. Menges completed his practical legal training in the Corporate Department of Latham's Hamburg office, the Hamburg Higher Regional Court and an international law firm in Cape Town, RSA. During the period of research for his doctoral thesis, Dr. Menges was associate lecturer at the University of Hamburg.
