Key Private Bank’s investment approach is based on the belief that asset allocation is one of the primary determinants of long-term investment results. They follow four steps: understand, plan, act, connect and reassess. They take time to understand the goals of each client, capturing all their financial objectives. They will then codify their understanding in an IPS which usually involves multiple interactions with the client. Once the IPS has been finalized, Key Private Bank will provide a detailed action plan explaining the various investment options and strategies. After the implementation, they will continuously monitor each client’s portfolio. In formulating their asset allocation and investment strategy, they believe it is important to assess three broad cycles: the economic cycle; the valuation cycle; and the investor psychology cycle.
