Biography

Molly Dunn joined the OAI team in February 2011. She provides support for her internal teams and clients in the areas of strategic planning, development management, campaign planning, and event fundraising.

Molly not only interned at OAI, but she also interned at Malaria No More, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending malaria deaths by 2015.

Representative Clients:

Working with the American Nicaraguan Foundation to coordinate efforts around the organization’s annual gala, define the future of ANF through work on a strategic plan, and diversify and reexamine the Board structure to be its most effective and capable.
Partnering with the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation to expand fundraising efforts and explore new opportunities through board and volunteer engagement, corporate partnerships, and individual giving.
Working with the National Hispanic Council on Aging to craft their messaging through the development of a case statement, and identifying fundraising potential through relationship-building with their board and Business Advisory Council.
Providing foundation grant support to the Boys and Girls Harbor, a New York City based nonprofit dedicated to education and the performing arts, by creating logic models, proposal templates, and executing cultivated submissions.
Working with the Marriott Foundation for People with Disabilities to manage and produce first class galas that yield significant fundraising results having increased their fundraising to $1.1 million in 2012.
Worked with the Washington National Cathedral to provide development planning services, volunteer leadership management, prospect strategies, and other direct fundraising services in support of restoration costs from the damage of the 2011 earthquake and in support of the Cathedral’s annual fund.
Conducted the feasibility study and developed a campaign plan for the North American portion of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund’s $125 million campaign to construct a new Children’s Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa – Nelson Mandela’s legacy project.

Personal:

During college, Molly was an active member of the Microfinance Initiative at Bucknell, an on-campus organization dedicated to alleviating poverty by making loans to small-business entrepreneurs in the developing world.

In her free time, Molly enjoys reading, yoga, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
