Education

American University is a private doctoral institution situated in a residential neighborhood of northwest Washington, D.C. Our total fall 2012 enrollment was 13,165, with 6,776 degree-seeking undergraduates, 3,464 degree-seeking graduate students, 1,766 law students, and 1,159 students in nondegree certificate programs, Washington Semester, or AU Abroad. We offer 61 bachelor’s degrees, 54 master’s degrees, 11 doctoral degrees, and a JD program, as well as 50 certificate programs at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Courses run on a 15-week semester basis in fall and spring, with shorter summer-term classes. In addition, we offer study-abroad programs and alternative breaks. More than 85 percent of our undergraduates and 60 percent of our master's students participate in at least one internship. Our student body is cosmopolitan and globally diverse, with all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and 130 countries represented. Seven percent of undergraduates and 11 percent of graduate students are international. The university’s mission is carried out by 798 full-time faculty and 1,525 full-time staff. Ninety-four percent of full-time faculty hold the highest degree in their field. Among our 565 adjunct faculty are policy makers, diplomats, journalists, artists, writers, scientists, and business leaders

The Marriott School of Management is a business school located in Provo, Utah at Brigham Young University (BYU), a private university in the United States of America owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Going by several different names since its inception in 1891, the business school at BYU has been known as the Marriott School of Management since 1988, when Marriott International founders J. Willard and Alice Marriott made a $15 million donation to the school. The Marriott School is housed on-campus in the N. Eldon Tanner Building and offers five undergraduate and six graduate degrees.

Abu Dhabi Investment Council (ADIC) is a United Arab Emirates-based Sovereign Wealth Fund which was established in 1976 as the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. A wholly-owned agency of the Government of Abu Dhabi, the firm became the Abu Dhabi Investment Council in 2006 when President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued Law No. 16.Based in Abu Dhabi, the Council is headed by the Ruler of Abu Dhabi and invests the government's oil revenues inside and outside the country and manages their worldwide assets. The Council plays a key role in coordinating and observing the investments made by state-owned enterprises and holding firms.ADIC is considered one of the largest institutional investors in the world and holds stakes in two large state-owned banks, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and the National Bank of Abu Dhabi.
