Founded in 1831, New York University is now one of the largest private universities in the United States. Of the more than 3,000 colleges and universities in America, New York University is one of only 60 member institutions of the distinguished Association of American Universities. Heir to both the Sorbonne and the Faculty of Law of the Pantheon, Paris 1 is one of the leading universities in the field of humanities and social sciences, as in the law and economics. Since its incorporation in 1971, Paris 1 has consistently expressed its commitment to a university model that combines open and pursuit of excellence, with responsibility to host the student audience the most numerous and diverse among French universities, but also to position such as one of the top research institutions in its field, as evidenced different indicators.
