DeWitt Clinton High School has a highly unique small learning community (SLC) program. Each SLC is organized thematically with a core academic curriculum, highly specialized courses related to students and career option exploration. Students will benefit from the caring of a small school setting within a large school environment and from the range of instructional programs and activities that only a large school can offer. All entering students receive a core curriculum in a 9th grade academy. Students begin their SLC specialty in the 10th grade.

Salanter Akiba Riverdale Academy, better known by the acronym, SAR Academy, is a coeducational, private Modern Orthodox Jewish day school. The school is located in the Riverdale section of the New York City borough of the Bronx.[citation needed] Its name derives from the three schools which merged to form it, Salanter, Akiba, and the Riverdale Academy, all Orthodox yeshiva day schools. The three schools merged in 1968 and adopted the current name.

The Marsha Stern Talmudical Academy, also known as Yeshiva University High School for Boys (YUHSB), MTA (Manhattan Talmudical Academy) or TMSTA, is an Orthodox Jewish day school (or yeshiva), the boys' prep school of Yeshiva University (YU) in the Washington Heights neighborhood in the New York City borough of Manhattan.
