Career History
Portfolio Manager
2011 - Current

Neville Rodie & Shaw (NRS) manages long-only separate accounts in which most portfolios are managed with a balanced investment approach using tax-exempt or taxable bonds, growth, value, large- and mid-cap stocks and cash equivalent issues. From time to time, The firm's strategies are tailored to meet clients' specific needs and objectives and are managed within the context of perceived economic conditions. NRS' strategies generally emphasize the selection of high quality, attractively valued common stocks bought to hold for the long-term, supplemented by bonds (convertible, tax-exempt or taxable), notes, preferred stocks, money market funds, mutual funds or ETFs. The firm looks for investment opportunities across a variety of geographic areas, diverse industry groups and within all capitalization ranges.Fixed income holdings are structured and managed to provide a stream of income, dampen volatility in portfolio asset value, and provide liquidity. NRS prefers a laddered maturity structure in order to avoid disruptive changes in the flow of income and to avoid the reinvestment risk resulting from an uneven pattern of maturities. Investments are largely within a 10-year maturity range in order to provide call protection and diminish volatility inherent with longer maturities.^
