North Carolina State University,officially North Carolina State University at Raleigh,is a public, coeducational, research university located in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Commonly known as NC State or simply State, the university is part of the University of North Carolina system and is a land, sea, and space grant institution. The university forms one of the corners of the Research Triangle together with Duke University in Durham and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina boasts several nationally recognized undergraduate and graduate programs. East Carolina offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees through its colleges of business, fine arts, health, dentistry, nursing and others. East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine is one of its more impressive divisions. Among medical schools emphasizing primary care Brody ranked sixth by U.S. News and World Report. It also ranked ninth for rural medicine. Also intensely involved in research, Brody is renowned for its innovative work in robotic surgery. Brody’s research is also continually expanding as they are also partnered with several growing research and clinical care facilities. Brody’s education department is also one of its more respected. Graduates of ECU’s College of Education have been named Teachers of the Year at the state and national levels. Another of its notable departments is the College of Fine Arts and Communications. Training individuals in the visual and performing arts, this division is one of the more well-known on the East Coast and hosts numerous performances, exhibits and arts programs. Additional offerings at ECU include adult learning options, a language academy and distance learning.
