Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center was born over 100 years ago during the rise of the Settlement House movement. Throughout New York City, neighbors stood up and took responsibility for each other, working cooperatively to support and empower all who lived in their community. The result was the rise of neighborhoods where people shared a vision, were able to live safely and positively, and participate in their own and each other’s successes. Its mission is to meet the social, educational, recreational and cultural needs of the greater Lincoln Center neighborhood. Rooted in this tradition, Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center was founded over 65 years ago in Manhattan.
