Biography

Thomas “Ted” Keim, Jr. is a member of Latham & Watkins’ Strategic Client Initiative and the Finance Committee, and is the former Chair of the Chicago Corporate Department.

Mr. Keim’s practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, both in the US and globally, for a broad range of public and private clients. Mr. Keim’s practice reflects a wide range of transactional experience, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private equity, investment and venture capital transactions, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations and restructurings, and company representation matters.

Mr. Keim regularly represents companies across a broad spectrum of industries, including clients in retail, lodging/hospitality, pharmaceuticals, life sciences/biotech, aerospace and defense, bioenergy and industrials.

In Chambers USA 2014, observers praised Mr. Keim as "incredible, spectacular [and] possessing a lucid and reassuring personal style."

Mr. Keim is a member of the Auxiliary Board of The Art Institute of Chicago and the Associate Board of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
