Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) prides itself on its caring, student-first attitude. Located in the small town of Americus, this mid-sized university provides academic and social diversity while maintaining the comfortable, friendly atmosphere of a smaller school. The university's academics include dozens of undergraduate programs leading to a certificate or a bachelor's degree. Among these is a unique dual-degree opportunity in Computer Science & Computer Engineering, offered in conjunction with Georgia Institute of Technology. Graduate studies at GSW include master's degrees in English, Computer Science, Business Administration and Education (Curriculum & Instruction). The university also offers a specialist program in Teacher Leadership. Financial is available at GSW in the form of grants, loans, work-study and institutional scholarships. Note that most financial aid opportunities are reserved for undergraduates, and graduate students may be limited to federal loans and private scholarships. To apply for financial aid, make sure to complete the FAFSA as soon as you can after January 1. GSW has a rolling admissions policy.
