Biography

?Todd Willens is the Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Interior and has a long history in the federal government working on natural resources and public lands. Previously, he was Congressman Steve Pearce’s (New Mexico) Chief of Staff for nine years. He also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Fish, Wildlife and Parks at the U.S. Department of the Interior from 2006 to 2008, and as Senior Policy Adviser for the House Natural Resources Committee from 2003 to 2006. Mr. Willens is a native Californian and a graduate of UCLA. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and four children. He was appointed as the Secretary of the Interior’s designee to the Trust board in November 2017.
